    Default clutch help!!!

    hi again,
right guys my clutch has started slipping from around 2krpm to around 3.5krpms when on full throttle. i'm looking to replace it pretty soon,
however i'm confused, as eurocar parts offer 2 LUK clutches for the y20dth,
    namely
    http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Va...5d9993345&CLUK
    and
    http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Va...5b628fb3b&CLUK
why do they do this, and which one do i need?
also is this the right DMF for me?

as always, your esponse is appreciated.
    kindest regards,
    michael

They are both the right clutch, its just the dearer one has the slave cylinder in the kit and the cheaper one doesn't, you need the dearer one really, the difference in price is worth it compared to the extra labour to change it at a later date. That flywheel does appear to be the right one for yours but christ is it expensive compared to a cdti one!

You cant get a solid DMF, its either a DMF or a solid flywheel, a solid flywheel will be cheaper (if theyre available which I'm not sure about) and will last the life of the vehicle but will possibly cut the life of the gearbox. The vectra b uses the same engine with a solid flywheel but I'm not sure if there's a way to convert yours back to a vec b solid flywheel. Hope this sheds some light for you.
