Default BSR REMAP OR DTUK BOX???? you have the power its upto you

Right everyone ive got me exhaust now thinking of a remap or a box the dilemma i have is i dont want to have crap mpg i do long journeys so want to keep good mpg, ive heard by having a remap you actually get better fuel economy too.....so i come to the forum for help ill run a poll too and the decision is yours (well if i agree pmsl no really it is )

im gonna run it for a few days as i want it done before i go bk to afghan....

heres a link to bsr map for my car 1.9cdti 150 54 plate.... think i have an extra 8bhp with the exhaust already.....

I know I may be considered 'biased' as I have BSR kit on my 2.0T, but you only have to look at the responses from guys with 1.9s who've gone for the BSR kit to see how happy they are, and some of those had boxes before and say it's like chalk and cheese. Not surprising really when all a box does is chuck in extra fuel, whereas a remap alters a whole lot of other variables - turbo boost etc.

If you're considering a BSR remap then IMO it's a no-brainer. You won't be disappointed.

As for consumption, like with any tuning product if you subsequently go around hooning it all the time you'll see your mpg drop, but once you get over that initial phase (it takes some time! lol) you'll see barely a difference in your consumption. I didn't when I went from standard to Stage 1 and then to Stage 3.

I'm definitely going for BSR on my RS6. Some owners are reporting issues with other maps, so will wait a while for things to settle down. I don't want a 'full beans' map either!

Also consider the EDS option as it is equal to the BSR....

    http://www.regal-shop.co.uk/acatalog..._Software.html

I bought mune direct from EDS in Germany. You have the option to run without EGR if desired and several maps to choose from and revert back to stanard if the need arises.
