Default I have a problem guys

The problem i have with my car is with the steering it basically wants to steer itself under hard accleration best discribed as the front wheels have had a arguement and want to go there own ways.
i have fitted eibach springs and bilstein shocks, new track rods, steering rack arms, drop links ,anti roll bar bushes, wishbone arms, everything i can think off. its been tracked up on a hunter 4 wheel laser aligment and whilst its better it still dosnt feel right.i had it mot'd recently and it passed with flying colours and i did mention this problem to the mot fella and he couldnt find any play in the steering anywhere, the car is fitted with vxr replica wheels with 225/45/18 continetal tyres

    any ideas guys??
please help b4 i burn it lol

    Torque steer ?
I bought a car once, and driving it home was a pain,as it kept doing this,it was only a rover diesel as well,i swapped the tyres from the front to the rear, and it cured it.
Is it only pulling to one side every time Chris ?

It's Torque steer mate. Enhanced by the fact you have performance suspension on. It's the down side of having a torquey FWD motor. Maybe a cure in the form of uprated steering components - bushes etc - I do know whrere from though. I know, that few years back I had a Cherokee I put an uprated steering damper and although I didn't have torque steer it did firm it up and make it drivable on the motorway. What engine btw?

Its tram lining because of the wide tyres and hard suspension i would say then mate

I had this problem and took it to Vauxhall, (I have the 18" 11 spoke wheels) apparently the tyres tram line with the road camber and lumps and bumps as they are quite wide, I cant think what size mine are (Surely the same as yours?). Its a thing that wide tyres do apparently. I went through the same pain as you, replacing everything. You'll probably notice that when you drive over a nice new road you wont have any issues.

The exact answer I had from Vauxhall was -

Customer Complaint - Vehicle steers violently side to side under heavy acceleration or braking on uneven road.

Answer - Vehicle complaint probably caused by Torque Steer made worse by oversized wheels (Not standard fitted) and lowered sports suspension. Also likely affected by damp weather. No faults found.

So because I have fitted VX standard 18's instead of the Design 17's and had dropped a further 15mm from the Design spec they blammed it on that.

Another thing I recently found out too was that XL tyres, which I have fitted as they came with the wheels from an estate, have harder side walls and are also more liable to tram lining.

When did it start doing it? Was it ok before the car was lowered and wheels changed or when you put the box on?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!
