    Default Over spray removal..?

Last weekend I painted the fence with an oak stain. Weve just bought one of those spay things so I decided to use it. I noticed on monday that the wind has carried the over spray 80ft down the drive to my sapphire black vectra.

When I noticed the orange dusting, a gentle rub with my finger nail was enough to remove it. Unfortunately work commitments prevented me from fully cleaning the car until this morning. The big problem is that this over spray seems to have baked on!

Ive washed the car to no avail, Ive even tried clay but that hasnt worked! Is there anything that will remove the over spray or am I destined to be stuck with orange flecks in my paint work forever!?!

That will be my next purchase from Halfords i think! Would there be any mileage in trying a bit of white spirit or will that damage the paint work? I only ask because Ive got some WS in the garage but dont have any T-Cut

i wouldnt recommend white spirit as it could kill off your paint work, i use to do abit of car body work many years ago and we use to use panel wipe to clean the surface. At mo my head has gone blank as im sure there are a few other tricks to getting the overspray off.

Ive just had a quick look on ebay and you can buy panel wipes (think it was 10 for £3 + P&P). Would you recommend I invest?

no worries mate, i would recommend t-cut as this will get the flecks off as well as polishing the car at same time.
