Default What are the red lines on the speedo about?

    Hi Folks,

I noticed the other day that there are 2 red lines on the speedo. One at 20mph and the other at 30ph. Why are they there? Are they there to indicate speed limits? If so why not put them at 50mph and 70mph as well?

I have borrowed the photo from a post by Rushy and cropped it. Hop you dont mind

I find it odd that that might be the reason. Like I said, the red lines might as well be on 50 and 70. I didnt think there that many zones at 20mph to warrent sticking a red line on there. The two most common speed limits would be 30mph and 70mph.

    Any more opinions?

Up to 70? Thats interesting. Perhaps thats for facelift models only then? Maybe my Pre-face SRi is not supposed to go over 30mph?? LOL :-)

I was told a while ago that these marks were for zeroing in the speedometer when it is new, two marks to get a good average reading. May be true may be not!!!
