Default Urgent Help Please - in France!!

Hi guys. Driven to Spain and back and all OK, but half way through France as we speak (in a service station) due to my 1.9 CDTi starting to misfire or stutter whilst cruising on the motorway.

Have had the bonnet up and had a good look over it and checked all plugs and there are no signs of leaks or splits in pipes or anything that I can tell. The inlet manifold is def on it's way out as the bar has popped off 2 of the flap locators, but it's been like that for a while so don't think it is that.

What might cause stuttering when on boost? Seems OK below 2k...

Urgent responses much appreciated - I've got a ferry to catch later and am wondering whether to press on or invoke European recovery to be on the safe side.

    Thanks

If it is judder between the 2000rpm/3000rpm range then it COULD be the 3rd injector plug.

Dont mess about though bud there isnt much you can do.

It could be anything but it im 99% sure its the 3rd injector loom issue. The plug may be on tight but it will actually be dirty and in likely hood will get worse and needs to be changed.

A bit of contact cleaner may give a respite for a day or so but needs the plug changing. Can cause the car to stop eventually, Good luck mate

Update: after I messed around in the engine bay and reconnected every plug in sight and removed the caterman box, we managed to continue on and get back to the UK issue free!

However, this morning on the way into work she started juddering again and this time the spanner light came on. Ran the FCR over it and it generated a P0203. Basically this is definitely the 3rd injector problem. Wiggled the injector plug and it was OK for a bit, but then started playing up again and was back to 3 cylinders. Called Lookers in Brum and they had the replacement loom part in stock, so I've bought it and will hopefully get an opportunity to replace the dodgy plug tonight - weather permitting!

Gazza4> 10 points to you for a spot on diagnosis mate
