Sticky Fuel Cap (Vec-B)

Twice this has happened reently.

Went to re-fuel the wife car only to find the fuel cap locked closed, pressed the lock\un-lock buttons a few times and it then opened.

Tonight it would not open, so I had to manually pull the pin back.

Has anyone else had this problem ?

Not on any of the B's we have had....

sounds like the lock servo is on it's way out..can you get behind the bootliner to check the wiring is sound??

Yep, thats how I managed to open it to put more fuel in.

I'll see if it's covered on the warranty, if not, looks like I'll be sitting in the boot for an hour or two.

Can you not try the same angle as the steering rack??? or is that the warranty you mention..

The car is booked in (under warranty) to be fixed and a new MOT all FOC
