    Default Hids on a facelift

Do they work straight from the box. Are cancellors needed etc.

I know, but the threads always tend to wander, and never answer what you want.

    Vehicle : BMW 435D X-Drive Gran Coupe M-Sport

    Trim : M Sport

    Engine : 3Ltr Twin Turbo

    Year : 2017

When I installed mine at first one did not work so fitted the cancellers to both lights which seemed to cure the problem. Then a couple of times one still occasionally did not come on but after a quick Tech 2 session with Plasma (telling the cars computer that HID's are fitted) I have had no problems since and I now have the best lights I've ever had on a car.....

I used vaux-com to program the headlight check system out of the UEC. This works better than the cancellers and is more reliable.

I have 50w 4300k in the dipped beam and 80w Halfords Rally halogens in the mains. Brilliant lights.

I just wish there was a way of programming the sidelight check system out

Mmm I see what you mean about wandering, OK I suggest getting the ones from HID direct and the cancellor's and if you do or don't need them you will be covered

Not too bad this time. I work door to door and during darkness switch off the car leaving the sidelights on. Does anyone have problems with them coming back on after restarting.

Fitted mine a while ago and had no problems, no cancellers needed or anything. One ballast went when water leaked into it but was eventually replaced and been fine ever since. Just get them and give them a go
