    Default When in Wales

Larisa and I are off to Wales tomorrow. It is Larisa,s Birthday and she asked if we can go for "one of our tours" of Wales.
So tomorrow at " silly o,clock" Larisa, Me and the dogs will be off for a drive over to Aberdovey, Barmouth, Harlech. Then up to Llandudno. Back down the A5 to Betws-y-coed to Llangollen. Then home. If you see us, give us a wave.
I hope the weather will be ok. I love Wales, it is one of my most favorite places to be.

Oh dear, I hope she likes rain.

When leaving Llangollen on A5, pass the golf course and after about a mile, look forward to the left and you will see the Pontcysyllte aqueduct, now a world heritage site , well worth a visit ( won't take long ). You can walk across it ( but leave dogs in car ) if you have a head for heights.

Turn first left immediately after passing the Aqueduct pub when you enter the 30mph sign. Follow road down and it will come into view after 800 yds. Cross River Dee and continue right uphill then park after crossing canal bridge and walk across ( if you dare ).

Hope you have a good time.

We had a great day out. The weather was nice No rain in wales, a bit over cast but dry. Larisa sat drinking Champagne at lunch time. I drank tea ( as I was doing the driving). The dogs loved the day out too.
One downside though. The spanner light has come on when the ignition key is turned. But goes out when the engine starts. Got to try and find what is wrong with it now.

I know the place you mean. We have been there many times. I think it is a facinating place to visit.
A trick of mine on the far end of the bridge is to just nip off the tow path, then you can walk under the "bridge". The look in your wifes,s/friends face is brilliant, as they wonder how you got there as you can not walk across the water?.
