    Default Citroen HDi DPF

Short of joining a Citroen Forum, does anybody know if the 90bhp 1.6 HDi engine has a DPF? Car in question is a 2006 56 Berlingo.

    Thanks in anticipation

yes they do - all the psa (citroen and Peugeot) hdi engines have the diesel particulate filters as they were the ones who designed the package
dependant on age would determine wether its built into the exhaust or separate and if the additive tank is solid or a "camel Sack"

and yes they too suffer with Egr Valve issues and a more common issue of the sump leaking closer to the gearbox end - it just needs removing and resealing correctly

if you need any more info Pm me

    regards

    Dez

    Cheers Dez.

One more question then for now. Does it tell you when it needs regenerating? (ie blast up the motorway).

    Cheers

no it doesent = it can go into forced regeneration when required even if you havent driven it very far - you may wonder why the engine fans are running full tilt for about 10 minutes ....its because it will be self regenerating
