    Thats a Surrey Police Volvo as well,highly illegal to have them fitted

    this has made me aware now because if somebody was behind me and put these lights on i would pull over, im sure i hurd somewhere if your being followed and you dont think there the police you can drive to the police station and if it turns out they are the police you tell them you didnt think they was the police, but on the other hand would they say you failed to stop for the police?

    You're all right there guys, it's illegal, but oh Boy! couldn't you have some fun out on the roads, especially where those Chav drivers are concerned if you know what I mean!!

    Installing such flasher units is perfectly legal, providing it is to the existing equipment
    Several of my own vehicles have these and have never had any issues, even when in use

    The police usually fit one of those to "panda" cars simply for the headlights
    Other vehicles will have several fitted so that the front, rear, fogs, etc can be flashed

    However police cars usually have the fog lights replaced with blue filters

    I know its bad in the wrong hands but I do believe my friend had an old Mercedes which had this function as standard when the engine was off, headlights were on and indicator was used,,,,

    A safety device supposidely lol!
