I really don't understand how the computer works out mpg and I wouldn't trust it tbh. A lot of people are quoting mpgs, which I personally think are unobtainable. Proove me wrong people, by which I want to know how many miles did you do on a tank. That's the real measure of mpg, not from the BC, which I swear VX have programmed to make us feel better about ourselves.

You did 621.8 miles and had 76 miles remaining according to the computer, so that's 704 miles. The size of the Veccy's tank is 63 litres. That works out to 50.8 mpg, not 58mpg.

That's still pretty damn good mind. Over 44000 miles the best I have ever achieved was 685 miles to a tank and the fuel light was flashing for the last 20 miles. It was a touching cloth moment whether I was going to run out or not.

I did 621.8 miles, filled the tank with €65.50 worth of fuel
    fuel is priced @ 122.9c/Ltr
that means I got 53.29 ltr
    1 gal(UK) = 4.54609 Ltr
53.29Ltr/4.54609Ltr = 11.72Gallons this seems to be where the issue lies car thinks it is burning less fuel than it actually is

    621.8miles / 11.72Gallon = 53.04mpg

as i do a lot of miles i put a lot of effort into getting decent mpg, i also monitor my onboard comp quite thoroughly to see whats what. The range is a waste of time, it seems to reset everytime u turn the engine off, so takes your current mpg and calculates new figures everytime u set off, not taking into account your average since resetting the trip. Back to the computer, when i first got the vec i brimmed the tank, reset everything, run it to the red line, filled up again, the ammount i filled up was exactly the ammount the computer said i had used, so it was spot on. The problem is that when u fill up, depending on times of day, tempereature etc, u can put different ammounts in and still think it it full etc..., The miles travelled on the comp were the same as the trip computer, so with this in mind, i am happy that the figures it gives me are fine, just ignore the range, i was on zero with all of the red line to go!!!
