Default what will go wrong next?!

the alternator packed up on my 1.9cdti 150 auto @ 55k miles. last Friday I was travelling along, heard a slipping belt kind of noise then water temp. went straight up to max!! nothing serious I thought? called the AA who found that the cambelt had slipped off the tensioner...great. got towed to a garage who put a new cam belt kit on and a new water pump. They told me the cambelt was very close to snapping and should feel lucky (which I do!) this was caused by the water pump seizing!!! The car has only done 63k miles. So bear this in mind in case you overheat...could be very expensive! Happy driving my friends!
    whats next....turbo?....wheels falling off?>>>

wow, lucky escape, could have been much more expensive! How much did the cambelt kit & waterpump change cost you if you don't mind me asking?

Default what next to go wrong?

Did the droplinks to cure the front knocks, had exhaust rattle only to find out the heat sheild had broken loose, ...fixed that, shortly afterwards, had this annoying rattle from the inside(rear) of the car and narrowed it down to the bootlid, fixed that(temporary) by wedging cadboard between the catch..that cured it. Still need to do the outstanding rear arb bushes and 1 upper control arm which is on its way out.
this car is only done 55k miles ....2.2 vectra 2003 52 reg.

What people forget is the age of the car is as important as the mileage. The older the car the more things will perish ,rust etc, even if you have low mileage.

Ur dmf will go soon m8, if ts not started rattling already, new clutch and dmf £700 min, then u will have all the suspension problems to come after that, welcome to the vectra world, oh yeah u mite have the inlet manifold problem too depending on the age of your car. But some people on here will tell u they are well made cars with hardly any problems!
