Default Anyone had master cylinder replaced?

Just wondering if anyone has replaced or had replaced the Master cylinder for the brakes and the work/cost involved...

    Thanks in advance!

Just never been really happy with the 314's... but that is compared to the 302's... So maybe nothing. However, looking and reading around it could be the master cylinder, which if priced reasonably enough, I'll have replaced.

The brakes dont seem to have all that much bite and when at a stand still if I keep my foot on the pedal it goes to the floor with no added braking power, if i then pump 3 times or so, the pedal then goes firm and the brakes are great! LOL

Although, they obviously work as I'm still in one piece...! LOL

Did mine myself. Lots of rags at the ready for your brakes fluid then hose then engine bay off when you've finished.

Not much room for manouvering with a V6 in the bay, not sure about other engines though.

Master cylinder wasn't too expensive (GSI) , little over 100 notes if i remember correctly.

Bled mine RL, RR, FL, FR. Worked fine.

To be honest, it's much harder (and time consuming) to service the damn engine than change the brake master cylinder and bleed the brakes.
