vxr tail pipes and diffuser question!??

Hey all, I've seen a few posts about the diffusers n tailpipes ppl have dun , I want to do this but I've got a 1.8 sri, was wondering if its worth my while getting the standard duel back boxes from a 2.2 n doing it tht way? And wood it fit lol? ? Plz help

it can be done but as far as i can remember u will need a reducer as the pipe on the 2.2 is slightly wider than the 1.8

i have done exactly that except mine is a 1.9 all in all it cost me £170 as my dad done the welding and it looks good with just a factory sound

if anyone is interested i have got a 2.2 double exhaust from my 2006 vectra sri its coming off the car on Monday or Tuesday as im having a custom made one so if anyone is interested give me bell

Hi get a custom one far better imho i.e looks wise...There`s a place in eastkilbride called "Simons custom exhausts" he`s very good and not to badly priced either..

im after a Y exhaust section as the one on my 2.2direct sri is looking a little rusty so wanted one spare for when it goes

i did it on my 1.9 diesel a couple of years ago, i just bought the vxr tailpipes and got powerflow to put in a y piece , 2nd back box and then fit the tailpipes, did a good job as well
