    Default petroll...quick question

    is it better to put ultimate unleaded 98 octane or is it better to put premium unleaded 95 oc ?
    its a vectra 3.2 v6

    Ok so I never said why. It runs smoother, should give a bit more power but I doubt anyone would notice that. Do I use it? No! It's too expensive

    Not really necessary on a standard NA car.

    If someone is mapped for a bigger ignition advance they'll be wanting to use it especially if they have a turbo

    That depends on the manufacturers recommendations. My old 328i was supposed to be 97 ron.

    I used to only run mine on v-power, ultimate or super unleaded BUT the rising prices have put an end to that. I noticed that car performed slightly better and if prices were reasonable i would start using it again.

    All the VX petrol engines will run on standard petrol
    The "premium" petrol require that you purchase and use it consistently
    The only other cars that MUST use a higher RON are those that specify it from the manufacturer, and the Vectra is not one of these

    So shell v-power is best for the high performance cars, ill still not start using it again till its cheaper though lol.

    i do not see it getting cheaper though..... the curve just goes up...
