    Unhappy Aaarrgggh!!!! Petrol!!!!!

Well ,since Vectaru is well and truly off the road until her wobbly old lady legs are fixed, I decided, since the range showing on the Elite was 11 miles, that it might be a good idea to stick some fuel in her.

Previous experience of filling up Vectaru has spoiled me however - the last time I put £35 in her, the computer showed me an estimated range of 275 miles.

I put the same amount in the Elite, paid my dues and started her up. With bated breath I watched as the computer recognised the fuel input and recalibrated...................

    135 miles!!! Aaaarrrgggghhh!!!!!!!

This has, after a run into town adjusted itsself to a slightly more generous 157 miles, but needless to say, I shall be driving like a vicar!

Such a shame, all that lovely power, too..................... Drinky's theory is "Well, at least it might slow you down......................."

Ah, over the last few weeks, the suspension has become more and more rocky - twitching round bends and every time the road surface becomes even slightly uneven. I have lost track of the fights I have had with her recently, and it feels like I am just running on the springs, with nothing beneath them.

Anyway, I am going to replace the suspension all round, and possibly drop her a little bit. Right now I would settle for being able to drive witbout fear of imminent death. Driving the Elite has proved to me how bad it had become.

Fortunately, it is payday today - as I type, I am browsing for the right kit!
