    hi can i turn off the display on my cd30 from computer readings to just the date and time like it go,s when i put the key in. hav,nt got a manual for it

    I assume, that you have either a BID (board Info Display) or a GID (Graphic Info Display), as the TID (triple Info display) with clock buttons on the bezel will nit have BC capability.

    The only way to do this is via Tech 2 programming, in which case you would have to have your BC functions disabled.(Changing of the code index number).

    This would however mean that you would only get the stop watch function on your BC menu / screen.

    i,ll leave it then i thought i could maybe just leave it on date time instead of seeing bc all the time, its making me watch everytime i put the foot down at the useage

    I assume that you mean, when the key is in but you've turned the radio off.

    The only way to do this, is to cut power to the head unit only, but keep the power fed to the screen.

    If you disable the headunit (as if the radio had been removed), then the display will show time and date and temperature only.

    You could put a switch into the red feed wire to the radio head unit to achieve this. note that the radio is fusd at 15 amps, so the switch will need to be rated at this value, or alternatively use a relay to do the switching operation.

    Just tried it in mine (Unplugged the head-unit with ignition on).

    Sorry but the BC functions were displayed...so it is a tech 2 thing I'm affraid
