If you've got a facelift that hasn't got a V6 engine - then you can't , as traction control (and ESP) was only fitted to facelift V6's.

I spun my front wheels in my facelift 1.9CDTI the other day - Had TC on my old pre-facelift 2.0T and it worked like a dream - no wheelspin. VX claimed TC was not needed on facelifts. Absolute tosh - more penny penching.

Good thing is now that this country has signed up for it soon all cars will have TC and ESP as standard. All the Insignias have. As did all the facelift Opel Vectras produced in Mainland Europe. Maybe the French, Spanish, Germans and other Continental Europeans need TC and ESP more than we do ha ha

I doubt you even have it unless it was chosen as a factory option.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Look at the label on the side of the ABS Control Unit (at the back of the engine bay on the far right behind the battery box) with the big black plug. If it says ABS only you have no TC and no ESP. If it says ABS and TC then you have TC but no ESP, if it says ABS and ESP then you have TC and ESP.

I have an 07 SRI CDTI 150 NAV XP and I only have ABS; no TC and no ESP.

It's (mostly) a waste of time anyway. Useless in the snow and stops you 'playing'. I don't have it thankfully, or I would want to be turning it off...

'Playing' is one thing, unwanted wheel spin is another. Wish I had TC, can't get the power down in my facelift CDTI quite like I could in my old pre-facelift 2.0T. Suppose I'll just have to calm down LOL.

I can spin the wheels in mine, though I have to give it a bit of welly (unless it's wet of course), and I'd rather have the rubber on my tyres than on the road.

As long as you read the road ahead and react accordingly then, diesel spill on a bend notwithstanding, you shouldn't have any problems. My old Volvo had it (switchable) and it was an amusing game: trying to get it to come on.
