Well the GSI has had a bad few days and what was my pride and joy, I'm now really disheartened with

On Friday morning my missus has managed to ding 2 of my VXR alloys (3 months old!) while driving into our local ASDA.
Then on Saturday night while staying at my mates caravan for the weekend, a resident has managed to pick my car out in a busy carpark and drive into the back of it!!
They never even had the manners to stay and own up to it. I discovered the damage on Sunday morning and after a quick walk discovered an a black Audi A3 with half my paintwork down its bumper! After locating the owner, he said he remembers hitting something but thought it was a tree!

He has admitted full liability (hard not too with my paint all down his car) and has agreed to pay cash for all repairs.
So now Im spending my week off trying to get the car sorted. Although now I've spent a copule of hours with the scratch remover, the damage looks a whole better, but it still needs paint.
I was going to post pics but I really have lost all interest in the motor after this weekend and its filthy so cant even be bothered to go out and photograph it!!!!

Funnily enough i've had the same conversation several times with her since friday!

dont give up fella, i think we have all been there where we get disheartened with out motors at some point! mines usually when anything i fit never seems to got right first time

however dont despair!!

vec c owners are always on hand to crack a rubbish pointless joke not even remotely related to the problem!!

I know how you feel... I'd only had my 3.2 GSi about 3 months when an ageing 3.0 Elite Signum driver decided to get a closer look at it's back bumper. Luckily, he too admitted full liability so the damage (light surface but panels replaced behind bumper) cost me nothing to repair.

Sort the Mrs out a nice little Corsa so she'll leave your GSi alone for you to enjoy.

Well I think I'm over the worst of it.

I've given it a damn good clean today in preperation for the paint shop on Friday. The guys has also coughed up the cash today.
Its having the whole rear bumper sprayed and I've got a mobile guy coming to refurb my wheels at the paint shop at the same time. So hopefully by friday evening it will be as good as new again.

So on Sunday I'll be getting up early to give it a full clean, clay, swirl removal and a couple of coats of wax. Ready for me to fall in love all over again!!!!
