    Default Headlamp washers

Can anyone let me know if there is a headlamp jet washer kit (orginal Vx parts) to add onto my 03 Vectra Elite? Had them on my 'R' reg Omega 3.0 V6 Elite and found them to be very useful.

    Cheers

    Oh yes....

    Quick question though...

"The car should now be taken to the Vauxhall dealer to be tech 2'd."

    What is Tech 2'ing??

Socket under ashtray, Vauxhall 'technicians' plug in computer to access ECU & enable certain options fitted.

I keep reading about Tech 2. The above post says where the socket is for the diagnostics but what do they actually do when they "tech 2" it? I always thought that the stealer automatically downloaded the latest software (or at least should do) when the vehicle was serviced.

Thanks for anyone who can clarify

I could be completely wrong here, but my understanding is that the software downloads are related to the ECU mapping, where as, if a new option is fitted it needs to be added to the known accessories list (of a particular vehicle) via the hand held computer (TECH2) for future fault diagnosis purposes, presumably.

But as I say, that's only a theory.

I'm not sure, the last TECH2 work I had done was under warranty, but hey, it's dealers prices, so I wouldn't be surprised. Kinda makes adding more options less attractive.

sounds about the average dependent on whereabouts you are I paid £35 for the tech2 for the rear elecric windows,a bit steep but at the end of the day they won't work without activation like a lot of other things on the vec C and signum
