yet another tyre question

hi ,found a bubble on the side of my front tyre today so ovo will need to get a new one ,probably had a good 2000 miles left on both fronts,can i just change 1 tyre the now and change the other one nearer the 1.6mm depth?or better to change them both the now?also if i change 1 tyre can i change the make? was going to go for falken instead of replacing continental sport 2.

I'd change both as they will be so far apart in grip to the wear. Of course this is my opinion and counts for nothing!!

I think, the old tyre will affect how the new tyre runs in, grips,wears.
Having different makes on the front is also not a great idea I think.
A matching pair at the front, different from a matching pair at the back is not so bad.
If cost is the issue then I would much rather go for 2 cheaper matching new front tyres , then I good new tyre and one nearly worn.
Also 1.6mm is the legal depth in my opinion alot of tyres are badly performing well before the legal depth.
