I looked at that one as well, really compact and you can stick it out of sight

    pics as promised of install

    1st of original set up

    then starting to fit

absolute pig to get wiring under carpet from centre console but managed

put the controller in the drinks holder as i never use it

and it sounds great not as harsh as the big box but a lot rounder sound and I have all the boot space back
will have to have a fiddle on the way to work later to get it sounding right but I'm well chuffed

You will want more bass after a while , ive ditched mine and fitted my old old kenwood w801 tube , now its got a bit of thump , need to move the speaker inputs to the fronts because if ive got the DSP sent to front it cuts the power to the rears , so it knocks the tube down a bit .

What do you do with the flap (door) that your electric driver is holding down?

to be honest mate I am more than happy with it suits me fine had a tweek on the way to work and now it sounds great with Drowning Pool and Rammstein banging out
I found my old set up made it too much so this is a nice compromise plus with a 4 yr old and a new born arriving in the new year I have to be able to control it/switch it off etc without messing in the boot like I had to
and the major bit is I have all the boot space back

cheers Spikey for the comment I quite like the wording "stealth" I'll run that past the misses I'm sure that will impress her not!!!!

vectrasri03 I got mine off e-bay because I had the funds in paypal might be worth having a lookabout or see if dennis the menace still has his maybe he will sell???
haven't made my mind up regarding the door/flap as it does rattle a bit so I have left it open for now but maybe make up a new front cover for it and cover it in a fine mesh, will have to see about that
    regards Steve

    Thanks £125 inc del+vat

Steve does it sound tight? If not is there enough remote adjustment and in that location can you get a non over boomy sound. All I want is to increase the bass punch but not overkill boom.

Does it sound strange, woodern sounding with the flap up ie. not enough air for it to breath? I was thinking of a mesh/grill (gutter mesh) cut into the flap sprayed black.

What would be the best speaker connection to use as I'm not using phono's as standard stereo? Should I take it from behind the stereo itself?

The remote which you have placed in my mobile phone holder, did you pass the wires from the rear and up into or take the wire all the way around and up from the front centre console? If from the rear did you have to take the rear bench out and the carpet?

Did the unit come with a connection pack (earth, 12V etc. fuse). What fues rating is it by the way.

Sorry for all the question but I sure you don't mind. Good install by the way and I have shown the Dorris the pics, she says it is acceptable as I too need the boot space.

    Cheers
    M
