When I had mine installed it activated the 'external' in by using the correct parrot adapter lead which had 3 mute leads on it.. The correct one needed to be connected to get it to work properly and by activating external in it silences the radio altogether.... The parrot sits inbetween the speaker lines so can only cut them 4 speakers, but with the external in it mutes the entire radio function...

i'll have a check... think i got it off the parrot site...

Looks like I'm lying, the mute leads are part of the parrot ISO lead which comes with it.. The lead I was on about is the convertor to allow it to plug into the vectra wiring loom...

I used a SOT122 cable to fit mine, and there were 3 or 4 possible mute cables, tried each on in turn until the system muted and external came up on the display, then crimped them together

I have mine on mute 2, make sure on the sot122 lead that you plug in the pink wire to the correct section on the connector, if that is not plugged in the centre speaker still works. That pink wire maps to the yellow mute cable.

does that mean that you have to put the two wires into one location??? not very good on wiring also any idea whereabouts the wire will be on the harness is it a loose one or already in a connector?? might get my father in law to go back to halfrauds and make them do it!!
