    Default change glow plugs

I'm going to change the glow plugs on my 06 1.9CDTi [150] however when I previously had an Astra (2.0 DTi) a garage managed to snap one of the flow plugs in the head and it basically remained stuck there.

So I'm looking for any tips on getting glow plugs out without breaking them.

    thanks.

i have'nt done them yet on my 1.9, did do them on my old C 2.0dti, B 2.2dti & zaffy 2.0dti with no issues...

I usuall spray wd40 around the tops of the threads & leave to soak overnight or a good few hour prior & warm the motor up slightly too.

yeah, soaking with wd40 was my thinking cause it should penetrate the evaporate and if it goes right through into the engine it shouldn't do any harm.

They should be pretty straight forward to do, the 4 of mines came out without any issue and they werent sprayed with lubricant prior to removal.

I'm expecting the worst since my sump plug is stuck fast, presumable because the last owner had it serviced at Arnold Clark who probably put the plug in to TAF.
