never been serviced????

So my sister came round this morning and whilst she was here she tells me the engine waring light has come on in her 2006 ford fiesta. 'its been on for a while but didn't think it was a problem' she said. Her husband then goes 'it may be because it hasn't been serviced yet. no, i don't think it would be that, just cos you haven't had it serviced this year wouldn't make the engine light come on' i said. no her husband replies, we haven't had it serviced since we bought the car in 2006.

Are some people stupid, in the 4 1/2 years shes had the car it didn't cross her mind to at least have the oil changed. crazy lol

Depending how long they plan to keep it then think of the money they have saved

oh they save money alright. on servicing cost, new tyres oh and i think its only ever seen a sponge once or twice. god help whoever buys that car.

There is a bloke I work with who has done exactly the same with his micra. 3 bold tyres and the brakes sounded like a steam train as he drove along. Funny thing is its only been going wrong since he had it serviced it! Its only got aout 40k on an N plate too.

chalk and cheese her and me, she got the looks before you ask (we are twins) i spend more time with my car than my wife lol or so my wife says. i clean it most weekends for at least 3 or 4 hrs and it goes to dealers for service every year and i change the oil and oil filter every 6 month, i know some people say thats daft but ive done it with every car ive had. if they get a big repair bill now it will serve her right for not looking after it. haha

i no its sad i do my oil and filter and fuel filter every 4 months then end of year a big one

joking aside i know they are always skint but nat tyres do an oil change for about £38. Ive told her if she got the stuff id do it for her if she didnt want to take it there. They seem to think just because it start every morning it doesnt done ewt doing to it.
