Default Airbox Mod and Boost Sensor Clean

I dont have priveleges to post in the 'How 2' section so here I go

I today remove the bottom cover from the airbox [http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15122] and cleaned the boost sensor [http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...t=boost+sensor] the sensor was fairky dirty!

I dont think it made a difference in speed/torque, however ..... it did make a difference to how she drives.

the car is much more responsive, feels smoother on acceleration and on decelaration the car was slight schuddering [as if it was in to high a gear] => this is now completely gone.

What would be the effect on my MPG if I were to do this?? I'm not a fast driver, quite slow infact (being a professional driver) but Its nice to know it's a little more torquey if I ever needed it.

Do you know if this is just for Deisel cars, or do the Petrol versions have a 'boost sensor'?

A boost sensor is only found on turbo cars and does what it says on the tin mate

    Thanks.

Do you know if there is anything similar on the Petrol models which I can 'clean' in a similar way for similar results?
