Default Bring back the Krays (thread split from scam thread)

Scam scam scam, it's all you hear these days, what happened to the code that states you dont thieve off your own, if Ron and Reg were still about they'd have a shooter in his face, and piddle would flow, the good old days of proper gangland, lost forever.

Interesting perspective you have there VV! I don;t think a return to those days would do us any favours at all!

I can see where you are coming from J, today a gangster has no morales about who he targets, back when the Krays were infamous life was very different.

I know ppl who knew the brothers and it wasn't all like the media has portrayed it, these ppl have said that they wouldn't see a poor family go without or see someone bullied who wasn't in the underworld.

They did kill ppl and did the time for it, but the ppl they killed were other ppl muscling in and one who openly kept taking the **** in public until they had no option but to shut him up for good.

London when they ruled it was a lot safer than it is today, the reason they were made an example of was because the establishment was **** scared of them.

And the amount of ppl at the funerals proves that they had respect from those around them, two things for sure that wouldn't be so common place these days if they were still about and free are nonce cases and drug dealers who deal outside the schools, both would be removed quietly and those thinking about doing the same would think twice, they worked on dog psychology, gain fear/respect and you dont have the problems.

Bottom line they were two brothers who wouldn't eat ****, and life modelled them in to who they became, right or wrong I'd have loved to have had a pint with them myself.

Feel free to correct me if i'm wrong Jamie, I'll respect what you say, but my take on it is some ppl need to be clamped down on, Liberal tactics have ruined this country and possibly the world, you know yourself how fist biting it is when you know you got the right bloke for the crime and a smart *** lawyer gets them off.

I can't help but agree with you VV however, I think its more down to morals. People then (even criminals) had stricter morals and more respect for people, than the society of today.

As long as Mr Average didn't get in their way. A criminal is a criminal and the 'oh for the good ol' days' comments are cr*p.

They were murdering thugs, always were and always will be.

Isn't that what it's all about Paul, protecting Mr Average, Mr Average doesn't harm anyone, when ppl decide to go for bigger stakes then they enter the world of live by the sword die by the sword, and it was that type the Krays bothered.

And their insurance scheme was even cheaper than Direct Line.

So Mr Average has a little corner shop. Mr Thug wants a part of it. Mr Average tells him no chance. Mr average is found floating in the river.

That was the reality of Gangland life. All the romanticism won't change it.

Well Mr Average with his corner shop didn't face what he does now back then, you will never get a perfect world Paul, but with gangland it's better to have an internal regulator who boses all of them, rather than lots of them doing their own thing, and the Krays never killed any Mr Averages anyway, as you well know.
