Default Fixed price cost for fuel

Just come across this http://www.lovemoney.com/news/make-y...trol-4505.aspx is it really worth doing, by the time you have paid to have the fixed cost of fuel, would it not work out cheaper just to foot the original cost at the pump.
I suppose it depends on the amount of mileage i would be doing within the month.
I only do around 240 litres a month at a guess, i cant work out if i would benefit from this or not.

    Default

The majority of companies with large fleets already use this method of payment
It is known as "bunker fuel" and you need to already have a such an account to obtain this "discounted" rate

However, as a private car owner you would getter a better return rate by investing the money you would use for petrol for 6 months

I use about 5000 litres each year in my current car and that works out at about £3000 deposit on a "bunker" account
