    Default DIY Facelift

(This may have been covered before ... apologies if it has.)

Looking at the pictures of the facelifted models, I reckon the new wings, bonnet, front bumper and headlights could be made to fit the current car (if they don't simply bolt on anyway).

Unpainted body panels don't tend to be that expensive so maybe £1500? for the parts plus painting/fitting.

Probably not something you'd do for the sake of it, but if your car suffered accident damage, it might be just as easy to replace the old parts with new shape ones.

I'm not sure what it would do to the resale value - I can see some dealer head-scratching.

Doing the mechanical bits should be easy, but you will have trouble with the electrics.

The current 2005 model Vectra uses a simpler Can bus system than the 2002-2004 Vectra C, but the new facelift model will use the complete can bus system from the new Astra, which is far simpler and easier to live with if there is a fault.

So you would have this to contend with when doing the lights etc.

    'Nightmare' springs to mind.

If you've got the bo77ocks for it, then fair play to you.
