    Default Corsa-C Gear Linkage

    Hi all,

Anybody had any experience changing the gear linkage on a corsa-c? Appears to be a common problem which has just affected my other half's car (04 plate, 68k). Having read a couple of forums it seems to be a straight forward change, it just looks like a sod to get to it!

People have been quoted/charged £200+ to S&F the part, yet I can find replacement modified parts on the bay for £20, so I'd rather save 90% and change myself if I can.

    Any help/advice/comments appreciated.
    Thanks.

did one about 6 weeks ago

really easy , its held onto the linkage at the gearbox by a pin and under the car its got a splined shaft to remove by undoing a pinch bolt

the last thing holding the linkage onto the gearbox casing is a plastic clip that you break to get it off , but make sure there is a new one in the box

once its done , reset the linkage and you'll be amazed by how tight the gearchange is

good idea to get a haynes manual it does tell you in detail how to do it

Excellent, thanks. Will be picking up the Haynes manual later.

Did you use OEM parts, or and aftermarket modified version?

Just an update, ebay part (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...m=330358332062) fitted nice and easily. It's like a new car!
