    Default wheel fitment

looking for some help never fitted aftermarket alloys so not sure if these are ok are not. the stud pattern is right and the wheels fit but the centre of the wheel is to big so the bit of the hub that fits in to the wheel has loads of play is this ok. sorry if this doesnt make sense and is a stupid question.

    cheers for any help

You prob need spigot rings mate. They should have been with the wheels. What make are they? And where you get them from?

Spigot rings fit (slide) over the centre hub on the car and take the play up to stop the wheel moving about as when you bolt the wheels on they will go to one side and vibrate.

If you cannot get official spigot rings quickly, get a beer can cut into strips round the can 10mm thick then tape them end to end (probably three or four will do then wind them onto the hub and tape them into place with duct tape to hold them until the wheel is slid over them this is a cheap emergency spigot fix!

you need calipers to measure the dia of the inside of the wheel centre and buy spigots to suit if you can't get them by quoting the manufacturer to a wheel specialist
