I thought it was only the 150's that suffer from this!

That may be but Ive checked and done everything else, fuel pressure is fine even when car goes into limp Ive had a live gauge onit and pressure is still up 02 sensors are working (switching within spec) fuel pressure regulator is brand new ect ect yet over 3000 rpm quite quickly vehicle starts playing up sometimes goes into limp turn off turn back on most of the time sorts it providing I dont go over 3000 rpm but if it doesnt sort it straight away it massively overfuels its already melted one cat then turn it off for 10 mins its fine again (providing I dont go over 3000 rpm) one code that kept coming up I think it was p1109 which is a fuel code and seeing as the swirl flaps start working at 3000 rpm it is definately pointing towards them not working properly (I reckon) before I rip it apart and check has anyone got atest procedure and location of the actuator? ive seen one on here for a diesel but not a 2.2 direct petrol.
    cheers

    easy dave

I got a similar problem with my vec 2.2direct sri soon as i hit 4000rpm and hold it then the car judders and if i keep my foot on the throttle my engine management light comes on thankfully the car has never gone into limp mode though, soon as i switch the car off and restart it the EML goes out, i know the previous owner of the car had vauxhall replace the swirl flaps on mine as i have the invoice to show it. A few people have said sounds like fuel pump problem but not sure m8ty
