2.2 direct exhaust

Hi all. just a quick question.

i am getting a 2.2 direct twin exhaust system from back boxes to middle section. the centre box on the 2.2 direct it tiny compared to mine on the 2.2 non direct. the box is huge on mine. it this gunna be a strait fit or am i going to have some problems. sorry for another exhaust thread lol

Id say just chop the centre box out mate give it a bit of beefy sound

well i juts had a look under the car and found that both the hangers for the centre box have snapped so if the whole centre section on the 2.2 direct will fit on mine without no probs then im laughing. any luck with your mate dropping it off???

You wont have no problems mate in the way of performance as the 2.2 Direct has a tad more power and torque anyway so all should be fine

yeah performance wise should be fine im just unsure about direct fit due to the small centre box compared to my massive one.

I fitted the 2.0T system to my none direct 2.2. Yep the box is huge, and the Turbo system doesn't have a centre box at all. All I did was to cut my system just after the fuel tank, cut the twin system in the same place, notch it and slide it over my centre pipe and clamp it down with some exhaust putty. Works perfect and no welding needed.
