    Default Lacquer peeling on bumper!

A main dealer sprayed and fitted a new bumper and cc v grille for me under insurance last february. Today when I was out cleaning it with my pressure washer I noticed some lacquer areas of the bumper and patches of the grille are starting to peel off.

My pressure washer is good, but not as powerful as those garage ones. I'll call them tomorrow, but does anyone think I'll have a problem getting them to take it back and respray them again - even though it is over a year ago? I can't see that a pressure washer should peel the lacquer off and my old bumper never did it so I reckon it can't have been done right!

went to vauxhall last night. the work is guaranteed for 12 months! 3 months over so they've said nothing they can do.

they offered to respray it again for £360 - how generous!

i've made a complaint and am awaiting call back from manager. if no good i'll speak to vx customer services.

Check what you insurance doc's say, they normally tell you how long their work is gurenteed for

360 is far far too much imo

As it was a main dealer that sprayed it would it not still be covered by the original paint warranty?
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

looks like it'll be sorted. i had a 20 minute 'chat' with the manager of the dealer in question and eventually after me hammering several points home, he told me to bring it in, leave it with them for 3 days and it'll be sorted. so i'm dropping it in monday. they wont give me a courtesy car as 'none are available for 2 months' (yeah right!) but hey... looks like it'll be sorted anyway.
