    Default possible cim fault

    Hi everyone anyone have any ideas i have a steering wheel with with exclamation mark top right hand side and when it is tested it comes up with cim fault and i have been quoted £480 to fix it .....there seems to be nothing wrong with car but steering wheel sign will not go away.

    Someone please advise many thanks Slim....

    Ok Rushy will try the abs plug but my fault does not seem to affect the dials just the fact a steering wheel sign appears in fault window.....

    Also John whats the Bay??? you say there is one on there....

    i also have this problem with all the dials failing, TC light coming on, steering wheel and ! and battery light coming on, then when everything decides come back to life i get the dreaded car and spanner warning in the rev counter.
    had a look at the ABS ECU connectors as shown in the picture in this thread. ( http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...ht=plug&page=2 page 2)
    also my car fails to start sometimes yet if i lift the bonnet and wiggle the connector shown in the picture and the one just behind it the car starts no problem.

    what is the connector box behind the ABS connector for?

    Took abs plug of and cleaned it no joy still the same
