Does the DMF go quiet when the engine gets warm ?

Im asking as first thing in the morning it sounds like the DMF it rattles when the clutch is a biting point, but when the car gets warm the noise goes away

Could it be something else ?

Very odd mine goes quiet when warm then

Ive been into VX to get a part and asked the service guy he said it is the DMF but not to worry and keep driving until it gets unbearable, he said he has never known one to fail.

Be aware that as they break up the bits can kill the starter motor.

Ahh right its not that noisy at the moment, at least it will give me a chance to save up

sure they can cause damage to clutch throught vibrating all the time.

Could well do but you change the clutch anyways don't you while all the car is in bits

Pretty bad advice that. My mate was told something along those lines and his DMF exploded on the M27 leaving him stranded in the middle lane.
