Default Tom Tom Go 500 help please

I borrowed my sisters ttgo 500 to upload the camera POIs onto it and as I was backing it up onto my hard drive the damn thing crashed, so I thought no bother I will just get the product code off her only to find out she did not realise she needed the box and cd and decided to throw it out when she moved house - she is not the brightest spark in the world. Does anyone know what I ca do to fix it as she needs to use again very shortly. Thanks any help will be much appreciated.

The only thing that you can do is contact TomTom and request a new code. They'll want to see invoices etc. I don't suppose she registered her GO on the TomTom website did she and recorded her product code there in the My TomTom section?

If she did then she can just recover it from there. If she at least registered it then TomTom will be quicker to give her a new code. If she did neither, then TomTom will probably want copies of receipts etc. to issue you with a new product code.

Edit: Just read your post again. She threw out the CD as well?!! Oops. I doubt if TomTom will send another CD - but all you can do is explain to them!

Their support folks are fairly helpful, but I guess you'll need proof of purchase.
If you dig around their website, I think you'll be able to download the executables, but probably not the maps.
