Default Dti inlet cleaned & omg what a difference

Well seen as it was a gorgeous day today i thought i would brave taking off the inlet a giving a very good clean, everything came off nice & easy.
Upon taking off the upper & lower inlet i could not believe what i was faced with & tbh i wish i had taken a pic to show you all.
Approx a 10 mm wall of thick black sooty goo, god knows how them flap things were moving inside, 45 mins of scraping and cleaning jobs a good un.
The power delivery is much more smooth not all at once, no smoke when booting it & no excessive diesel rattle at low revs.
I feel kinda chuffed with myself been putting it off as i did not feel like messing with the injector lines on the pump but its the only way to learn.

Did you need to replace any seals or gaskets when you removed the upper inlet? I noticed mine was full of crud when I cleaned my EGR valve but was uncertain of taking it apart incase i knackered a gasket!
