    Default Wiper Linkage

Has anyone any advice on changing this like how does the plastic panel come of thats covering it all up? One of my linkages rods from the drivers side to the passenger side wiper has go a little worn and keeps popping of.Rang the dealers and its a complete unit and they want £109. I only want a new link rod the robbing sods.Might be a run to the breakers yard or see if I can do a repair on it myself but need to get the unit out first though.

you remove the wipers , then the seal that runs along the front of the black cowl

then you have to lift it slightly at the front and pull towards you as it clips under the windscreen and viola you have access

you dont need to buy a new linkage i believe there is a how to in the how to section on repairing the linkage saving you loads of money !!

when more than one of the linkages go you will need buy a new set as plastic tie wraps will not longer do the job. You can get them a little cheaper from vauxcentre £91..

Mines the same, do what I done just try it and see if it works for you it does for me , use a cable tie and tie it back to the joint. Mines been like it for about 2 months now and the cabile tie has been alright and you can't even tell. Saves you some money

This should be a recall issue because it aint safe imagine your doing 70 mph and its heavey rain and it pops off ,
