    Default Brake pad sensor

Hi just about to change the front discs and pads, if I cut the pad sensor wire will the warning light stay on?, didnt bother buying the sensor as I probably wont have the car when the discs need replacing again.

If you can't be bothered to replace the sensor, just join the two wires together and the light will go off.

It's less than a tenner for the sensor. If you can live with the guilt of the next owner not being aware the low brake pad warning isn't working and has an accident as a result of worn brakes........

That's looking at the worse case senario obviously.

The car is up for MOT tomorrow night, was just wondering would they fail it if the brake warning light is on,I tried joining and unjoining the wiring but the warning light wont go out.I'll be keeping the car for a long time yet, wont be giving someone else the problem, the brake pads were replaced a few weeks ago.
