    Default Vec abuse!

For the first time in over 6 months I braved the Saturday madness to do some last minute BBQ shopping at Tesco's, only to come out and find a note on my car windscreen telling me that some ****tard drove into my car and then drove off!!!
He'd then parked opposite and a few cars along (I did think about jumping up and down on his roof/bonnet).

They've scuffed the right side of front bumper down to plastic...
Now had the guy had the decency to say something instead of driving off , id probably not bother with it because it almost certainly needed a new bumper anyway!!!
However because he just drove off, im considering using the witness that wrote the note and making a claim against him for the damage (and hopefully a new bumper)... I think people like that deserve all they get!

Should I take no prisoners on this one guys???

Do it, I would, you can't lose with a whitness! I think i would have waited for them to come out and confronted them with the whitness statement etc.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Do it. he will get done for failing to report an accident as well. Then when his low life mates hear about it perhaps they will think twice about doing the same.
I would love to dish out some justice that you can with the info you have.
Some ******* hit my car and did one and it cost me £500 to put right. Phone the cops now.

    I agree - make a claim.
You should have taken photos of your car at the scene, and also his car (even though he'd parked somewhere else).
This way you can show what damage was caused to both cars, and prove that he was at the scene, because people like that tend to deny it when it goes through insurance.

Also, the insurance will replace the bumper because they are not allowed to simply repair it unless the customer specifically requests this.
Insurance have to put it back into the same position it was in before the incident, and by repairing it will depreciate the value, but replacing it and painting to same standard is the best you can get.
