vectra c Boot fob

Hi

have just bought a secondhand vectra, having problems with the boot

cant open with fob or with door switchs?

any advice please.

Take a look in the Rear Fusebox for blown fuses - Fuse 18 covers tailgate lock 30A

Failing that, if it unlocks ok with the key/button then possible the lock solenoid has a prob.

try using the key.

You need to open the boot with the key first, then close the boot, but don't lock it with the key.

The boot auto locks after 30 seconds.
After that, you can use the key fob buttons and door buttons to unlock the boot all the time.


I always have this problem when I take car to garage, they always lock the boot with the key, so it'll only open with the key if it's been locked by the key.

It also depends on what position you leave the boot lock in, 3 options, 1pens with the doors, 2: always unlocked, 3: locked all the time but can be opened with the key.

I would like to know as well. Its a pain in the arse having to plip it all the time.

be good if i could get the boot to open with the doors or just with the third button on the fob, or even the switch on the doors! can only use key, getting on my wick already!

It all depends on what position the lock is left in. Also its only unlocked for about 10 mins after the doors are unlocked, then it "locks" again.

Mine opens with the doors.
Don't know if I've got it set to option 1 or not.

**All I do to set it this way is open the boot with the key, and turn the key to a horizontal position, and take the key out.**


Then when you close the boot, it auto locks after 30 second.

When you press the 'open door' button on the keyfob, it unlocks just the driver's door. Press it again, it unlocks all other doors including the boot.
