airbox mod FREE,
panel filter £50.00 ODD
and a tuning box from ebay for about £80.00
I have done airbox mox with standard filter, too many horror stories with high flow pannel filters or cones. Then got a tuning box (diesel express) got it 2nd hand from Ebay for £60!!! couldnt beleve i got it so cheap, pulls like a mother now!! will be needing replacement tyres soon haha
I considered a cheap box off ebay but thought it was a bit risky. Is a box half decent digital box a better option than a cheap remap?
i prefer box to remap because IF you decided to sell or had a bump in car, it is reversible in 2 minutes
If you want to keep it and not knacker it, don't remap it or box it, its the safest bet. Depends on how much you worry about dmf worries etc.
Ive ran DTUK boxes on all my diesel cars and never had a problem... when i change the car i just pop up and get the software changed for free... and i got the 3 years warranty so if the box packs in then just get it replaced... whereas you cant if you buy a 60-80quid box of ebay... and i dont spend ££££s on a car to put cheap sh!te on... if your gunna buy a cheap box you may aswell buy the £30 ones as there all the same but dont complain if you have problems....
at the end of the day, all boxes do the same and take engine to limit. Was going to buy an express box brand-new anyway so saved myself 40 quid, and as for airbox, only reason why is i dont want to be forking out for a new MAF
