Default Thats it, i've given up smoking

Well it's been nearly a week since I gave up, last ciggy on Sunday and i've not had one at all this week. Quite proud of myself, no patches or gum to help give up, just stopped. All about will power, and realised you don't need it to survive the day. Just wanted to share it with you guys. Any other stories about giving up welcome! All part of the "new me". About time I made a few changes in my life, and this is one of the things on my list. So far I'm coping okay, miss it when I'm at work, but other than that it's been okay! Wish me luck!!

Cheers guys, have given up before, but gone back to it. Have found it easier this time though, so hopefully it'll last. Don't seem to miss it as much this time so maybe it's the right time for me to quit

Cheers mate, the weight is an issue which is a reason I wanted to give up. Seeing the doctor in a couple of weeks so wanted to give up before I went. Want to get healthier and excercise more. Luckily i'm not substituting the fags for food, so hopefully won't gain much more weight Will just take my time with these things and not take on too much at once

Same for me, more healthy AYE RIGHT.

I stopped the same way you did, in my opinion the best way just cut it out altogether. Keep it up it does get better and easier, and the extra dosh in your pocket helps a lot.

Thanks for your comments people! I intend to stick with it. Has been going very well, don't feel as sluggish as I did so all is well.
