Default What mods do you need to declare?

I realised last night that I haven't yet told the insurance company that Ive swapped the standard badged grill for a debadge one (whoopsy!!). That got me thinking, I'm intending replacing the standard brakes for drilled & grooved discs and better pads, do I need to tell them when I do that too or is it just seen as a like for like swap?

personally id tell them about everything if you have a accident and assesser finds something different, they will try to get out of paying out for the accident etc.

its better to tell them about everything just incase.

Legally though do you HAVE to tell them? If you were to be pulled by police who were just doing a andom stop check, insurance, MOT etc, could they take your car off you for having Alloys when your car is insured as standard

I guess so as if it isn't as you have described it could invalidate your insurance.
Now I need a turbo to keep up!

Plod doesn't go into the details of your policy, only that the vehicle is covered by a valid policy, is displaying valid VED certificate (tax disc), is covered by an in-date MoT certificate and that the driver hopes a valid licence appropriate to the vehicle they are driving. Should they see something about the vehicle that gives cause for further investigation, that is likely to be window tints appearing too dark, wheels fouling bodywork, tread depth appearing low, overly noisy exhaust, that sort of thing.
