    Default Rear brakes "scored"...?

Just noticed something today. Which looks like it may have been there for a while.

My rear discs have several "scores" in them, as if the rear brake pad has something stuck in them. I felt them today and was shocked at how deep they were. There are 3 or 4 seperate marks all the way around the disc.

Going to get vauxhalll to check it tomorrow. Does anyone else have these problems on their rear discs?

My mum astra rear discs are fine and look clear. My front discs are all clear.

Ive only done 9100 miles. With 90% of that being motorway miles using cruise control. So the brakes are not used often, when they are, they are mildly used.

    Cheers

Just got back from Marshall Vauxhalls. They confirmed it is in issue with the pad compound. Car is booked in to have this sorted under warranty. For anyone else who has had this problem, check with your dealer.

    Cheers

    Nice one RockH

Mines going into the dealers on Monday to fix (hopefully) the non operational "European Lights" on my AFL's - blimming things won't stay in "Europe" mode...

Anyway I will get the brakes added to the list as mine have a lot of scoring on them at the rear.....

No problem, it has been reported that some dealers are refusing to change them contrary to the defect notice.
I'll be booking mine in next week for another set.....
