Default DIY Parrot fitting.... Pre face

I had this fitted into my old 04 plate Vec SRi by a garage near me, but I am getting messed around by him something rotten, so was thinking of fitting it myself, now I watched him fitting it the first time, and he took a wire into ciggy lighter and sure there were another 2 wires going into the radio loom.

Now I was sure I had seen a How2 on here for fitting one, showing pictures of what wires needed to be added where, but I've been searching for it over the last 2 days and can't for the life of me find it. Sorry if it's just me being stupid but if anyone could link me too the how 2 that would be spot on as I want to try and get it in over the weekend as I'm missing it lol.

yeah i had seen that, but i'm sure this one was with not using the extra lead, as the guy who fitted it didnt use the extra lead in the first place.

I fitted mine with no extra lead on a half can standard ISO block not quadlock. You need to cut the top block off the ISO connector so its just a standard twin ISO. The Top block just goes into the HU as standard and the other 2 go into the Parrot loom, out the other side and back into the HU. You need to swap the constant power and ignition power wires around, just do it at the Fuse holders and put the ignition power to the ciggi lighter. Its very fiddly and the extra loom would be easier TBH. If you have quadlock however then I'm sure you need the extra loom/converter.

The problem with my way is the factory ISO locks into the cage, when you push the HU into the cage the ISO plugs in. However when you cut the top block off the none of this locks into the cage, so you have to plug it all in and then slide the HU in, there is very little room for this and the wires get snagged, it can be done, just takes time.

Yeah the guy who fitted it for me the first time cut the back part of the cage off so gave alot more room too play with but still clicked in right.
