Default Colour Coding & ecu mod question.

    Hi All,

I am just gonna get all the plastic on my car colour coded, I can't really justify the cost of the xp trim kit, as I only have the 'club' estate version of the 1.9cdti, so will have to spend a bit more before the xp trims will fit apparently!!!

I will just have to wait for a complete silver SRI bumper to fall into my lap. I spent all morning ringing vauxhall breakers, with no luck!!

I already have the 19" snowflakes, have had all windows tinted, & am having the Pi -30mm suspension done this weekend, so with all the plastic done, I feel it will look twice as nice as it did originally.

I want the bodyshop chap to do the door handles too, how many hours would I expect him to charge me for removing, & refitting door handles?

Can anyone recommend a good ecu module for the 1.9 cdti (06). Its an auto!!. Just really want it to help out on the economy as I do high mileage.

    Regards

with reference to door handles, remove them yourself fella! you need a 20torx screwdriver i think and thats it, open the door, pop off black blanking, take screw out, pull towardds the rear and the handles pop off and the lock covers follow! 20MIN job at a MAXIMUM!! but beware when you take the lock cover off the drivers door the barrel comes with it! i couldnt find a way to seperate and it is very very easy to acces locked car with the barrel missing lol so if your bodyshop does do all the work make sure they dont levae the car outside overnight with the barrel out because they want paint to dry!!
