You think thats bad,i had a problem with my automatic gearbox,i replaced the fluid in my gearbox and it was still the same,£45 worse off, then i tried a second hand replacement automtaic gearbox in my car,at a cost of £640 for the gearbox (new are £4000) and £150 to get it fitted by a vauxhall mechanic friend, new input shaft and drive shaft seals at a cost of £45 and new gearbox fluid, another £45,had the replacement box taken out and my old box put back in,as the replacement was worse,im back to square one,and only got a refund of £525 back for the gearbox.
This is without needing to fit a new inlet manifold and actuator(which i've bought already) and cambelt kit,i had a broken front suspension spring,my cooling fans don't kick in,and i havn't even serviced the car yet,and i've only had it since march, and this is without fitting anything extra that i might like to fit, like lowering springs.
Apart from that,i like driving it still, lol

    I'm tempted,i don't even like the pre facelift front anyway,and i can't stand it only being a basic club,lol
I only bought it to try a cdti 150 auto for more than an hours test drive to see how i got on with it longer term,it was a fair price,so i can't really complain that much,so i will get another, but it will be better spec and facelift next time.

How long till some vx purist is on this thread tryin to tell u these are great cars and theyve owned 5 with no problems and its only a small percentage that are faulty and people only come on forums to moan.
Seems like a big percentage of vecs with low mileages are causing all sorts of problems. 45k miles on a car like this should be nothing. I had a new alternator and dmf at 45k
